Brendan Connors believes in strategy, execution and results. Recognizing the gap that existed in results-based learning solutions, Brendan founded Mosaic Learning in 2005 with the goal of creating smarter, more advanced learning programs for the end user. The company has since pioneered the development of the breakthrough Doubt-Based Learning™ methodology, a proven approach that enhances a student’s own knowledge and skillset. Brendan’s father taught him many years ago that if you continually focus on the client, success will follow. Throughout his career of over 30 years, Brendan has embraced this motto, always remaining passionate about delivering results and helping clients achieve success every day. In addition, Brendan is CEO of MOSAIC, an integrated communications firm headquartered in Cheverly, MD. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a concentration in Marketing.
Meet The Team
Mosaic Learning is comprised of several different teams that work collaboratively to meet the specific needs of each individual client and project including: Instructional Design, Multimedia and Design Services, Software Development, DevOps, Security, Professional Services, and Strategic Solutions.
Mike deSimon is the President and co-owner of Mosaic Learning, an interactive online education and training development firm specializing in interactive media, virtual simulations, and online learning systems. Mike is also a hands-on multimedia expert with years of experience designing and programming for the web, producing video, and developing interactive computer-based learning experiences for adult students in all areas of life, from government and defense industry clients to corporate, Union, and non-profit agencies. Mike has presented at many conventions and conferences on subjects including active learning environments, blended learning classrooms, computer mediated learning, virtual reality, augmented reality, and other technologies in online learning.
Matthew believes that product innovation and operational excellence are the levers to transform companies. Prior to joining Mosaic Learning, Matt served as the Vice President of Engineering at Social Solutions Global (VEP) from September, 2015 until May 2019. In this role, he managed SSG’s Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) Engineering, Ecommerce, and DevOps Teams. Prior to this, Matt served as the Vice President of Technology for StraighterLine, Inc, the leading provider of alternative credit pathways for degree completion. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s Technology Platform & Team for three years (2012-2015.) Prior to joining StraighterLine in 2012, he served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Crawford Media Services, Inc in Atlanta, GA from 2010-2012. Prior to Crawford, Matt served as a Sr. Manager of Technology for the Advertising.com Group at Aol (now Verizon, Inc.) Matt’s Team directly managed the Affiliate and Lead Generation Platform, responsible for delivering over $500M in revenues from 2006-2010. From 1999-2006, he served in various Engineering and Management capacities within the Web.com Group, including its Windows Hosting, Email, and CRM Functions. Prior to 1999, he served in various capacities for J/K Foods, Inc. and its Affiliates in North Dakota. In 2012, Matt successfully merged J/K Foods with an entity primarily controlled by Coborn’s, Inc. of St. Cloud, MN.
Matt attended the University of Washington. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University in 2005 with a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration, Management. He appeared in 2003’s Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, golf, and economic forecasting.
Philip Youngworth has made a career being the bridge between the technological advancement of a company and the company’s business needs with over twenty years of experience, largely in the educational technology space. Philip oversees Mosaic Learning’s Engineering teams (DevOps, Software Development, Data, QA, Support and Security) with a dedicated staff of engineers, analysts and specialists. Managing large, diverse teams of technologists is nothing new to Philip, having managed teams of over well over 40 people in the past who were employed all over the globe. Philip has been instrumental in obtaining FedRAMP tailored and moderate certification in his previous organization and he brings passion, enthusiasm and a DevSecOps culture to a technology team in order to make a long-term vision a reality. In his spare time, Philip enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and tinkering with new technology.
Ashley is dedicated to executing on-time and on-budget projects. She’s spent the last few years at Mosaic Learning pushing key client deliverables to the finish line, challenging current practice, and setting process that aligns best practices and company culture. Her team is responsible for producing deliverables that reflect value for money commensurate with customer needs. Prior to joining Mosaic Learning, she managed test development and delivery projects at Prometric. Throughout her career she has worked within waterfall and agile environments to deliver projects of varying sizes. Her ongoing experiences working across Mosaic Learning teams is what makes her enthusiastic for the future.
Ashley earned her B.S in Marketing from Salisbury University and MBA from University Maryland University College. She is PO SAFe certified and has held a Project Management Professional license since 2013. During the weekends, she likes to spend time with her family and create stained glass projects.
Chad McCoy brings projects to life. His attention to detail and extensive experience in multimedia development and rich media applications assures the highest quality output is presented to our clients. He has over 15 years of experience with cross-column knowledge in development. Prior to joining Mosaic Learning, Chad worked for advertising and design firms helping to build brands, design websites, and execute marketing strategies around web-based games. He also worked as a freelance designer/developer assisting numerous clients across the country. Chad graduated from Salisbury State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and a concentration in Computer Science.
As Chief Financial Officer, Dana Worek oversees Mosaic Learning’s financial functions, including accounting, corporate finance, audit, and treasury. Dana is a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with experience in strategic planning and analysis, banking and lending relationships, financial reporting and modeling, investment banking, and cash flow management.
She enjoys partnering with companies to achieve goals and providing actionable business recommendations. Dana has an MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.
As the Director of People, Sarah delivers a full spectrum of HR support. She is passionate about being the best resource for the company and its employees. She believes that balance and working together to achieve common goals for the company is ultimately what leads to success. Being able to create unity is what gives Mosaic Learning a competitive advantage, as well as the ability to give clients the best experience possible.
Prior to this role, Sarah knew that she wanted to make a difference with her work. Being able to make a positive impact is what Sarah is most proud of. Her broad experience includes benefits, employee relations, payroll, talent acquisition and management. She handles every aspect of the company’s activities with a smile and a positive attitude that reflects her devotion to her work.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA. She holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certificate.
